Junior Golf
Little Putters
Little Putters, the first level in our Bluebird Golf Academy, is a special program recommended for children ages 4-6. Participating kids will learn the basic fundamentals of chipping and putting while playing fun games and activities based around the putting greens. A golf course can be a very intimidating atmosphere for a young child. This program will help them become comfortable at the golf course so when they get older they are prepared to take the next steps without intimidation. Equipment provided.
FUNdamental Level
The FUNdamental level is the second level of our Bluebird Golf Academy. Children ages 6-9 will learn basic skills utilizing specialized SNAG golf equipment that enables young players to get the ball off the ground easier than traditional irons/woods. Exciting lesson plans are geared toward our juniors having FUN while learning the game of a lifetime. As part of our Audubon Sanctuary Certification, participating kids will also get a short lesson each week about being great stewards of the environment! Equipment provided.
Learn to Play Level
The Learn to Play Level is step three in our Bluebird Golf Academy. Participating children with a recommended age of 9-12 will learn strong fundamentals using traditional golf equipment. Engaging lesson plans delivered in manageable time increments ensure that kids continue their path in the sport of golf with a fun experience. Coaches introduce players in this level to basic rules and etiquette of the game and teach them basic warm up techniques so they learn to keep their bodies "golf ready" for a lifetime. Personal equipment is required for this level.
PGA Jr. League
PGA Junior League Golf is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for kids ages 9 - 17 to learn and play golf with their friends in a recreational team setting. Teams play relaxed competitive formats that reinforce the team concept and allow Captains to substitute players ensuring everyone on the team participates. Kids joining our PGA Junior League will come to the golf course twice a week for 6 weeks. Once for a practice and once for a play day.
Each player receives a team kit that includes two custom team jerseys, a hat or visor, bag tag, drawstring bag and sticker.
PGA Junior League is geared toward those players ready, or almost ready, to hit the course. The age range for this group is broad but rest assured, kids with like abilities will play with each other to ensure everyone has a fun and non-intimidating experience.
